Getting started

1. Turn on device-wide protection

Open AdShield and tap Turn On Protection. The first time, iOS asks to allow a VPN configuration — choose Allow. Filtering runs entirely on your device; there is no remote VPN and no data is collected. This blocks ads & trackers in every app — no extra setup.

2. Enable the Safari ad blocker (Content Blocker)

This adds extra blocking on web pages in Safari. iOS does not let apps turn this on for you, so it's a one-time manual step. The illustrations below are simplified — your screen looks similar.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Scroll down to Apps, then tap Safari.
    On iOS 17 or earlier: Settings → Safari directly.
  3. Tap Extensions (or Content Blockers).
  4. Turn the AdShield switch on:
    AAdShield
  5. Done — Safari now applies the AdShield filter list. Reload any open page to see it take effect.

3. (Premium) Enable “tap-to-hide” in Safari

The tap-to-hide extension lets you tap any element on a page to hide it. Enable the extension, give it permission, then use it from Safari's page menu.

  1. Go to Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions › AdShield and turn it on.
  2. Tap Permissions and allow All Websites → Allow.

  3. Open Safari and visit any web page. Tap the page menu in the address bar, then AdShield:

  4. The first time, tap Allow to grant access to the site.
  5. Tap the AdShield icon to start picking, then tap the ad you want to hide. It stays hidden on that site.

Note: the in-app Open Settings button opens AdShield's own settings page; from there you may still need to go to Safari → Extensions as shown above (an iOS limitation).

FAQ

Does AdShield block YouTube ads?

No. AdShield blocks ads served from dedicated ad domains. In-stream video ads delivered from the same servers as the video — such as ads inside YouTube — cannot be blocked with DNS/blocklist filtering without breaking the service.

Is my browsing history collected?

No. Blocking happens on-device. We don't run servers that see your traffic and we don't log your browsing history. See the Privacy Policy.

Will it slow down my device?

No. Filtering is lightweight and runs locally; fewer ad/tracker requests usually make pages load faster and save data and battery.

What does Premium add?

The free version blocks basic ads & trackers. Premium unlocks the full filter list, blocking thousands more trackers and telemetry endpoints. A 1-day free trial is included.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. To restore a purchase on a new device, open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases.

Bắt đầu

1. Bật bảo vệ toàn máy

Mở AdShield và chạm Bật Bảo Vệ. Lần đầu, iOS sẽ hỏi cho phép thêm cấu hình VPN — chọn Cho phép. Việc lọc chạy hoàn toàn trên thiết bị, không có VPN từ xa và không thu thập dữ liệu. Bước này chặn quảng cáo & tracker trong mọi ứng dụng — không cần cài thêm gì.

2. Bật chặn quảng cáo trong Safari (Content Blocker)

Bước này chặn thêm trên trang web trong Safari. iOS không cho app tự bật, nên phải làm thủ công một lần. Hình minh hoạ dưới đây được đơn giản hoá — màn hình thật của bạn trông tương tự.

Cài đặt› Apps› Safari› Tiện ích mở rộng
  1. Mở ứng dụng Cài đặt trên iPhone/iPad.
  2. Vuốt xuống mục Apps, rồi chạm Safari.
    iOS 17 trở xuống: vào thẳng Cài đặt → Safari.
  3. Chạm Tiện ích mở rộng (hoặc Chặn nội dung).
  4. Bật công tắc AdShield (xanh = bật):

  5. Xong — Safari đã áp dụng bộ lọc AdShield. Tải lại trang đang mở để thấy hiệu lực.

3. (Premium) Bật “chạm để ẩn” trong Safari

Tiện ích chạm-để-ẩn cho phép chạm vào bất kỳ phần tử nào trên trang để ẩn nó. Bật tiện ích, cấp quyền, rồi dùng từ menu trang của Safari.

  1. Vào Cài đặt › Apps › Safari › Tiện ích mở rộng › AdShield và bật.
  2. Chạm Quyền (Permissions) → cho phép Tất cả trang web → Cho phép.

  3. Mở Safari, vào một trang web. Chạm menu trang ở thanh địa chỉ, rồi chọn AdShield:

  4. Lần đầu, chạm Cho phép để cấp quyền truy cập trang.
  5. Chạm biểu tượng AdShield để vào chế độ chọn, rồi chạm vào quảng cáo muốn ẩn. Nó sẽ bị ẩn trên trang đó.

Lưu ý: nút Mở Cài đặt trong app mở trang cài đặt riêng của AdShield; từ đó bạn vẫn có thể cần vào Safari → Tiện ích mở rộng như hướng dẫn trên (giới hạn của iOS).

Câu hỏi thường gặp

AdShield có chặn quảng cáo YouTube không?

Không. AdShield chặn quảng cáo từ các domain quảng cáo riêng. Quảng cáo video phát kèm nội dung từ cùng máy chủ — như quảng cáo trong YouTube — không thể chặn bằng lọc DNS/blocklist.

Lịch sử duyệt web có bị thu thập không?

Không. Việc chặn diễn ra trên máy. Chúng tôi không vận hành máy chủ thấy lưu lượng của bạn và không ghi lịch sử duyệt web. Xem Chính sách quyền riêng tư.

Có làm chậm máy không?

Không. Việc lọc nhẹ và chạy cục bộ; ít request quảng cáo/tracker thường giúp trang tải nhanh hơn, tiết kiệm dữ liệu và pin.
